Windsor Foods, a leading manufacturer of private label frozen foods headquartered in Houston, Texas, has been a privately-held, family-owned company since 1996. As a Top 5 Certified Woman-Owned Business, Windsor’s brand names are among the most recognized in the industry.

The company was formed through the acquisition of a group of frozen foods manufacturers owned by the Keebler Company. Today, Windsor Foods has nine manufacturing facilities in seven states, providing products to retailers, warehouse clubs, restaurants and other manufacturers across the United States.

Try these recipes featuring the new and exciting flavors of Sysco’s Arrezzio brand.

Tuscan Chicken and Noodles

Portobello Mushroom, Cheese & Balsamic Vinegar Diamond Shaped Stuffed Pasta (SUPC 2901843) served with chicken and a simple beurre blanc, topped slivered chives and toasted hazelnuts.

Serves: 4


20 Portobello Mushroom, Cheese & Balsamic Vinegar Diamond Shaped Stuffed Pasta (SUPC 2901843), prepared according to package directions
1 cup White wine
½ cup White vinegar
¼ cup Butter
1 Lemon zest
½ tsp. Salt
¼ tsp. Ground pepper
½ lb. Cooked shredded chicken breast
2 Tbsp. Chopped chives
2 Tbsp. Chopped hazelnuts


1. To make the beurre blanc sauce, bring white wine and white vinegar to a boil over medium heat. Simmer until about 2 tablespoons are left.
2. Whisk in butter and lemon zest. Add salt and pepper.
3. Prepare Portobello Mushroom, Cheese & Balsamic Vinegar Diamond Shaped Stuffed Pasta (SUPC 2901843) as directed on package. Then combine shredded chicken and cooked pasta. Add to beurre blanc sauce.
4. Plate mixture and top with chives and hazelnuts.
5. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Warm Spinach Salad

Baby spinach topped with warm Stuffed Bell Pepper & Beef Flavored Jumbo Round Stuffed Pasta (SUPC 2901837) and finished with a warmed tomato-bacon dressing.

Serves: 4


13 Stuffed Bell Pepper & Beef Flavored Jumbo Round Stuffed Pasta (SUPC 2901837), prepared according to package directions
1 bag Baby spinach
¼ cup Sweet tomato-bacon dressing


1. Prepare Stuffed Bell Pepper & Beef Flavored Jumbo Round Stuffed Pasta (SUPC 2901837) according to package directions. While pasta is still warm, combine with baby spinach.
2. Dress with warmed sweet tomato-bacon dressing.
3. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Pita Pal

Pita Pal Foods is a Texas born and bred, woman-owned, single-site food manufacturing company based in Houston, Texas. Run solely on wind and water power, Pita Pal is also the largest producer of organic hummus in the nation. All Pita Pal products are vegan and kosher, from conventional hummus, gourmet salads and salsas to dips, frozen falafel and gluten-free options.

Sysco's Minority & Women-Owned (MWBE) Supplier Spend

Sysco partners with more than 400 minority and women-owned suppliers, and each year this base continues to grow. Diverse suppliers help Sysco meet the changing demands of foodservice operators while supporting strategic alliances that enable the continued success of Sysco, our customers and our supplier partners.

It is important for Sysco to continue using minority and women-owned suppliers from a corporate and OpCo perspective, and Sysco continues to grow purchases (spend) from minority and women-owned suppliers each year.

For the 3rd quarter of FY 2014, Sysco's MWBE Spend was $223 million (compared to a 3rd quarter of FY 2013 MWBE Spend of $226 million).

Sysco's Supplier Diversity Registration Portal

Sysco’s new supplier diversity registration portal is now available online! We encourage you to continue communicating the importance of registration to minority suppliers. Large customers still require minority suppliers to present certifications in order to count purchases for contract purposes.

Please direct new and existing minority and women-owned suppliers to Sysco’s Minority Supplier Registration Portal online.

The registration portal allows Sysco to source various MWBE suppliers for products of interest. The portal also allows suppliers to create and/or update their company profile and upload MBE, WBE, SBA, Hubzone and (8A) certificates so that Sysco has them available when needed.

Why Supplier Diversity is Important to Sysco Operating Companies

• Restaurant decision makers are becoming increasingly multicultural, multilingual and multifaceted and often require "niche" or unique products from minorities or women-owned companies.
• Minorities and women represent the fastest growth to the consumer/business base, and contribute dramatically to the revenue streams of major corporations.
• MWBEs can potentially offer better prices for Sysco and non-Sysco Brand products.
• Sysco can often receive quicker turnaround times and better or expanded levels of service from MWBEs.
• Supporting MWBEs allows Sysco to give back to the communities where Sysco employees live, work and do business.
