Sick Leave

  • Provides the option of a 50% payout of unused sick time to non-exempt associates

  • Confidential counseling and information source for all Sysco associates
  • Program allows for 5 free visits per person, per issue, each year
Bereavement Leave
  • At the loss of a member of your immediate family, Sysco provides a paid leave of absence of up to three days
Holidays
  • Sysco recognizes 10 paid holidays annually: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas (2 days), floating holiday (2 days)
Tuition Assistance Program
  • Upon successful completion of job-related studies Sysco provides up to $3,000 reimbursement for undergraduate programs, and $5,000 for graduate programs
  • Full-time associates who have completed one year of employment with Sysco are eligible

  • You may purchase Sysco stock through payroll deduction at 85% of the market value

Service Recognition
  • Sysco recognizes associates for every five years of service with a recognition celebration and a commemorative gift
     Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • If unable to work for more than 6 months, you could receive 60% of your basic monthly compensation
  • Up to a maximum of $5,000 per month less income from certain other sources
Short-Term Disability Insurance
  • For non-work related illnesses or injuries which cause absences from work of more than two consecutive weeks
  • Plan pays a percentage of your pay (50% in the first two years)
Retirement Plan
  • Benefit formula based on length of service and career earnings during years of employment with Sysco or any of its subsidiaries
  • Eligible after one year of service - Fully vested after five years
Matching Gifts to Higher Education Programs
  • Sysco will match contributions made by Sysco associates to two-year or four-year institutions and graduate schools of their choice. Other eligible groups include certain foundations, funds, and other organizations that have a mission for the advancement of higher education
Product Purchases
  • Sysco associates may purchase company merchandise at a small percentage over cost
  • Purchases are delivered directly to the Corporate Office
Associate Discounts
  • Associate discounts are available through numerous businesses, facilities and attractions
Associate Activities
  • Activities include Go Texan Day, a company picnic, holiday celebrations , Sysco's anniversary celebration, Toastmaster's Club Meetings, and tours of local operating facilities
  • Roundtable discussions with the CEO and executive team
Associate Referral Plan
  • By referring applicants for Corporate Office positions, associates may earn from $500 - $2,500 if the applicant is successfully hired
Direct Deposit
  • Associates may have their paycheck and/or expense checks directly deposited to the financial institution of their choice
  • Paydays are the 15th and the last day of each month
Additional Information
  • The Sysco Corporate Office is a non-smoking facility
  • Dress code at the Corporate Office is business casual Monday - Thursday and denim is allowed on Fridays
