Taste of the Nation is nationally sponsored by Sysco through fundraising events across the United States and Canada which include more than 100 food and wine tastings, seated dinners, brunches, and barbecue events. Share Our Strength’s Great American Dine Out®: Share Our Strength’s Great American Dine Out® brings together thousands of restaurants across the country and millions of consumers to participate in a historic initiative to benefit children. During one week in September, restaurants representing the entire restaurant industry—from coffee shops to fine dining establishments—will donate a percentage of their sales to fight childhood hunger in America. Food Bank Volunteerism : Several times a year, Sysco associates volunteer their time to support local area food banks where they perform a variety of services, including pulling and sorting donated products for distribution to those in need.
