Sysco is pleased to offer our stockholders electronic delivery of our proxy materials and annual report. On or about October 7, 2008:

  •    we will send an electronic notice to stockholders that have previously registered to receive materials        electronically,
  •    we will begin mailing printed copies of our proxy materials, including our annual report to stockholders, to        all stockholders who previously submitted a valid election to receive all future proxy materials and other        stockholder communications in written format, and
  •    we will begin mailing an E-Proxy Notice to other stockholders with instructions to access the proxy        materials and annual report electronically and submit their proxies on the Internet.

    Stockholders may also sign up to receive future proxy materials, including E-Proxy Notices, and other stockholder communications on the Internet instead of by mail. This will significantly reduce printing and postage costs, and help up positively impact our environmental effect. In order to receive the communications electronically, you must have an e-mail account, access to the Internet through an internet service provider and a web browser that supports secure connections.

    If you were a stockholder on the September 22, 2008 record date for the 2008 Annual Meeting, you may request to receive paper copies of the 2008 proxy materials and/or all future proxy material and other stockholder communications.
