Ingredients
| | Blue Cheese Pizza Pitas |
| | 24 each SYSCO Classic plain, flat pita bread, 7-inch rounds |
| | 1 lb. SYSCO Imperial cream cheese, softened |
| | 3 lb. SYSCO Classic shredded Provorella (mozzarella-provolone blend) |
| | 1 lb. 8 oz. SYSCO Imperial blue cheese crumbles |
| | 1-1/2 cups SYSCO Classic walnut halves and pieces |
Preparation
| 1. | For each serving: Spread one pita round with 1 rounded tablespoon cream cheese. Cover evenly with 2 ounces Provorella, and sprinkle with 1 ounce blue cheese crumbles and 1 tablespoon walnuts. |
| 2. | Broil or bake at 500 degrees F for 5 to 7 minutes until cheese begins to brown. Cut into quarters. Serve immediately. |
| 3. | NOTE: So rich that a couple pieces per person should be ample. Pair with pear slices and sauterne for an upscale offering; grapes and fruit juices, sparklers or spritzers, make an inviting casual combination. |
