Ingredients

•  Blue Cheese Pizza Pitas
•  24 each SYSCO Classic plain, flat pita bread, 7-inch rounds
•  1 lb. SYSCO Imperial cream cheese, softened
•  3 lb. SYSCO Classic shredded Provorella (mozzarella-provolone blend)
•  1 lb. 8 oz. SYSCO Imperial blue cheese crumbles
•  1-1/2 cups SYSCO Classic walnut halves and pieces

Preparation

1.  For each serving: Spread one pita round with 1 rounded tablespoon cream cheese. Cover evenly with 2 ounces Provorella, and sprinkle with 1 ounce blue cheese crumbles and 1 tablespoon walnuts.
2.  Broil or bake at 500 degrees F for 5 to 7 minutes until cheese begins to brown. Cut into quarters. Serve immediately.
3.  NOTE: So rich that a couple pieces per person should be ample. Pair with pear slices and sauterne for an upscale offering; grapes and fruit juices, sparklers or spritzers, make an inviting casual combination.
