Harrisonburg is Sysco Virginia’s hometown, but our community reaches across the state and into regions of West Virginia and Maryland. Local Food Hub
Sysco Virginia is proud to partner with the Local Food Hub in Charlottesville, VA. The Local Food Hub operates as an aggregator of small, family owned farms. They provide their partner farms with educational services, and most importantly, a way to get their locally grown and produced items to market.
Local Food Hub’s 60 partner farms represent the bounty and diversity of the Virginia foodshed. They offer fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen meats and poultry, eggs, honey, grains, and more, to the hospitals, retailers, restaurants, schools, food banks, and partner distributors like Sysco. The Local Food Hub taps into our distribution model to reduce their costs. We get weekly deliveries from them, and we then distribute these local goods to our customers. We are happy to be their largest partner, getting over 250,000 pounds of local produce into the market annually.

Drivers
Our Delivery Drivers are responsible for safely operating a tractor trailer, unloading and delivering products to their daily assigned routes. With a positive, friendly attitude, they also build relationships with each customer, helping them become more familiar with their operations and expectations.
Candidates must be 21+ years of age, hold a valid CDL-A license and have a clean driving record. At least one year of commercial driving experience preferred and able to properly use a hand truck and loading ramp.
Warehouse
Our Order Selectors are responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift to pull products from warehouse racking and palletizing product to build customer orders.
Candidates must be 18+ year of age, have 3 months of warehouse experience (including operation of electric pallet jack or forklift). Previous experience in food service industry preferred.
Material Handling Technician
Our Material Handling Technicians are responsible for maintaining and repairing all powered industrial equipment in good working condition to ensure safety, availability and to reduce breakdowns.
Candidates must be certified to operate all warehouse equipment, have the ability to use tools necessary to repair equipment, and be able to lift 25lbs regularly and up to 100lbs on occasion. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
